Since 1984, Kalin Associates has provided construction specifications for more than 3,000 projects with a total construction value of over $40 billion. Our services range from preparing specifications for private, public bid, and LEED projects, to master specifications for design offices and corporate owners, to guide specifications for building product manufacturers, and to specification management and education.

Mark Kalin, FAIA FCSI LEED
Mark is a registered architect, CSI certified construction specifier, USGBC LEED accredited professional, and one of only 27 individuals ever advanced to fellowship in both the American Institute of Architects and the Construction Specifications Institute. Mark is the author of numerous publications on specifications, product selection, and green specs and has presented over 100 sessions at regional and national conventions. He has taught Architectural Specifications at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and is currently Chair of the Sustainable Facilities Practice Group of the Construction Specifications Institute.
