Masdar selects Kalin Associates to prepare city master specifications

Masdar City in Abu Dhabi is the most ambitious sustainable development in the world today - planned to be the world’s first zero carbon, zero waste city powered entirely by renewable energy sources. Masdar has selected Kalin Associates to prepare master construction specifications for the city.

Mark Kalin heads Sustainable Facilities Practice Group for CSI

The Construction Specifications Institute has created a new Sustainable Facilities Practice Group in 2009 and plans presentations at this year’s CSI Convention in Indianapolis. Mark Kalin is a member of CSI’s national technical committee, and is the first Chair of the practice group.

BIM Spec Integration in Prototype Phase

Working with CSI and the US Army Corps of Engineers, Kalin Associates has prepared Specifiers Property Sets which are being included in a demonstration project to be shown at FedCon in Washington in December.
